Terms of service

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Usernames must not impersonate other people or brands or be offensive. We may change or reclaim a username that breaks these rules.

Renus lets you browse and download fonts, design fonts in your browser, collaborate on projects, publish fonts and interact with other designers. Renus is currently free. We may add, change or remove features over time, and we'll try to give notice of significant changes.

Every font is distributed under the license shown on its page. Library fonts are generally licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which allows personal and commercial use, embedding and modification, but not selling the fonts on their own.

When you download or remix a font, you agree to follow its license — including keeping the license and copyright notices and respecting any Reserved Font Names.

You keep ownership of the fonts, projects, images, comments and other content you create on Renus.

• Private projects: you give Renus permission to store and process them so the studio works, and to show them to collaborators you invite.
• Published fonts: when you publish a font, you give Renus a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, convert (for example to TTF and WOFF2), preview and distribute it for download under the license you choose, for as long as it is published.
• Profile and comments: you give Renus permission to display them publicly on the service.

You can delete your projects and comments at any time, and ask us to unpublish a font. Copies that others already downloaded remain usable under that font's license.

By uploading or publishing content, you confirm that you created it or have the right to share it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights. Remixes of existing fonts must be allowed by the original license.

Please don't:

• upload fonts you don't have the right to distribute, including commercial fonts;
• post illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent content;
• spam, mislead or impersonate others;
• upload malware or try to break, overload or bypass the security of Renus;
• scrape or copy the service in ways that harm it or its users.

Fonts submitted for publishing are reviewed before they go live, and we may decline them. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. You can stop using Renus at any time and ask us to delete your account.

If you believe something on Renus infringes your rights, contact us with the topic “Licensing & legal”. Include a link to the content, a description of your work, and how we can reach you. We review every report and remove infringing material.

Renus relies on third-party services such as Clerk for sign-in and Amazon Web Services for hosting. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms.

Renus is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that fonts are fit for every particular purpose. Keep your own copies of important work.

To the extent the law allows, Renus is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the service.

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Renus after an update means you accept the new terms.
